Social Media Consultancy | SERVICES

As part of my freelance marketing portfolio, I offer social media consultancy services. Having helped businesses, both small and large, to implement and improve on best marketing practices, I help brands find their perfect social marketing strategy.

What DOES A SOCIAL MEDIA CONSULTANT PROVIDE?

As a social media consultant, I provide a unique and entirely objective marketing review of a brands current social output, and recommend ways to improve on it. I supply valuable insights into innovative marketing practices and help to tailor new marketing and content plans to the business goals a brand provides.

I work to a three stage process, detailing the steps and the expectations a client can have of my  services.

Stage 1:

I always begin with an initial consultancy meeting, where I take my clients for coffee and we sit down to discuss the business, the brand and what they want to achieve through my services. We work through the previous work carried out through social media and run through some ideas to help enhance and improve the  current social channels.

Then I carry out a full social media and web review. This provides extensive detail on the current status of the socials, and a list of improvements and suggestions.

Stage 2:

If the suggested changes and improvements are accepted, I will then mock up a series of posts – using current branding to create the ideal posts for sharing.

These will be sent across to the client for approval, and a Trello board will be set up to create an initial content plan using the recommended changes.

Stage 3:

Finally to ensure that the changes are easily followed, I will set up and create a document of Brand and Social Guidelines. This will contain all of the necessary information needed to successfully continue with effective and efficient socials.

what are the benefits of hiring a Social Media Consultant?

For many businesses, their social marketing is carried out through one of two channels:

1) via a founder, senior manager or supervisor posting aimlessly with little time and a small marketing budget.

2) via a marketing team, with varying levels of experience in social media, and the monthly salary as their main motivation.

A social media consultant is an entirely different channel altogether. Working independently, with no ulterior motive for your brand, they can provide a much-needed outside perspective on your branding and marketing that employees might be too shy to admit. They can also offer a unique take on your brand, from a professional angle, describing the message they currently take away from your social output. Perhaps most importantly, they can save you time, and provide you with a crucial guide to delivering effective social marketing even after their contract ends.
