‘On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…Five Gold Rings’
I’ve never been one for flashy jewellery. I, of course, own more pieces of jewellery than I know that to do with – and I’ve been told time and time again that earrings do in fact make my face look slimmer…but I just can’t seem to stick to the looks. And by the end of the night, the earrings will lay abandoned at the bar whilst I trot off to dance, kept company by the crumpled heap of the necklace I accidentally snapped and the bracelet that kept dipping into my soup. But there’s something different about Christmas. Christmas is a time where anything can happen. People change, they fall in love, they care more, they wear more and they believe in magic that little bit more on Christmas Eve, when even the oldest and sternest of grown-ups listens out for Santa Claus. And if they can change, perhaps so can I. These beautiful rings, picked up in H&M on a entirely impulsive purchase, have so far survived 3 Christmas Markets, two festive meals, one Ice Bar experience, and even a couple of days typing at work. And I just can’t seem to let them go. Intricately decorated in the shape of delicate Christmas icons, they’re an absolutely idyllic addition to every festive outfit, and have the power to bring a handful of seasonal magic to even the dullest of day-to-day jobs. My personal favourite from the collection has to be the little Rudolf ring, as he’s been my shiny golden campion through some of the chilliest days this winter. He’s galloped across my keyboard at work, he’s helped me lug home heavy Christmas shopping bags, and he’s snuggled up against some of the sweetest Starbucks cups available. But if you want some other options to deck your fingers out with this Christmas, this pack also comes decorated with a tiny Santa face, a Christmas tree, a gorgeous knotted bow, a bejewelled Candy Cane, a beautifully wrapped present and a couple of neat little gemstone singles for a simpler touch of glam! There’s an icon for every occasion, and each eye-catching ring can be worn individually or altogether for that truly festive look. And in terms of quality, I couldn’t be more impressed by how beautiful they’ve remained – despite the fact I’ve worn them almost to death on a daily basis. None have broken, none have been damaged, dented or rusted to any extent, and so far they’ve not turned my finger that rather un-festive green shade most jewellery tends to. If you’re looking for a jewellery combo that a) won’t annoy you to the point on despair, b) looks absolutely magical with every single look, and c) won’t cost the earth to hunt out… I will wholeheartedly recommend these beautiful trinkets. Festive, fabulous and fashionable – you get excited for Christmas just looking at them!
