It almost feels wrong, to be writing this variation of review on a day like this. A day where even a summer phobic such as myself has ventured outside of the cosy coffee-scented Starbucks, and into the well shaded outdoor seating sections of the streets. With the sun currently beaming down into the city and the heat is seeping its way through the cracks in our windowpanes…today is a strange day to write a blog post on bath products.
Baths, for me, are luxurious winter treats – for nights when your toes have half frozen into your boots and all you want to do is relax into a giant puddle of warmth. A nutmeg scented bath bomb here, a festive candle there, a true commitment to the domestic bathing aesthetic. But for Zoe’s Sweet Inspirations collection? I think I can make an exception. Having previously picked up a couple of her previous bath products from the original collection and having absolutely loved them, I was so so excited to try out the Sweet Inspirations range – even if just for the adorably described ‘sweetie inspired scent’. The branding behind this collection is beautifully Zoe, and fits to her online personality so well that it makes for an incredibly easy sell, and was impossible to resist ordering online.
As a self-confessed coffee addict, any product with the word ‘latte’ in it is going to be a big win with me, even if the only resemblance to the drink comes from the creamy smoothness of the solution. With some truly beautiful detailing on the bottle, this would have to be my favourite item of the two, with some of my favourite scents being thrown into the mix – almond, cacao powder and honey blended together to make a soft vanilla concoction, perfect for a lighter, sweeter soak. And bubble wise? I was honestly so surprised by how fast this bubbled up, even with the initial streams of lukewarm water my taps produce (thanks student housing..) typically slowing down the process. It only takes a few seconds to smell the clouds of scent lifting up from the suds, and it just fills your entire bathroom with sweetness. Not only is this a bottle that looks adorable sitting on your bathroom shelf, it’s also one with hidden multi-purpose qualities, and can popped into a speedy shower as well as a long, luxurious bathtime routine. With lots of lovely vitamin c and seed butter compounds included in the solution, this is also a product that will be incredibly gentle on your skin, as well as boosting its natural glow and hydration! This is definitely a product to use sparingly, however, as a little can go a long, powerful way in the tub, and the product unfortunately runs down rather quickly. Actually, maybe that one just relates to me…I got a little overexcited by the bubbles. Bubbles, however, will not be a problem with the next product. The classic Zoella Beauty ‘Fizz Bar’ was always my favourite from her collections, and I must’ve bought about 10 during the long winter months. But the new variation, ‘Le Fizz’, with it’s pretty new French packaging and macaron-inspired scent, might just be winning me over. This packaging truly did make this product special for me, and I’m genuinely attached to the tiny golden fan design, all shell-inspired and shiny, impossible to throw away after use. The chocolate bar structure is always something I’ve loved about Zoe’s bath bombs, despite the fact that I always end up spending about ten minutes struggling to break it down into chunks, and with the added, almost edible, scent in this collection, those little ‘Do Not Eat’ stickers were definitely a necessity this time. The smell, whilst not quite as strong as the latte, is still just as beautiful and sugary as expected, and is guaranteed to compliment the other products nicely. If used altogether,in one single bathtime, I’m pretty sure your bathroom would smell like the inside of a sweet factory…not that that’s a bad thing! Even out of the packaging, it’s such a simple, classic design that it makes any bathroom shelf look prettier, and makes for a really refreshing product to use, day or night. Watching the bath bomb explode is obviously the best part of any bathing routine, and this bar provides no exception – it fizzes just as excitedly as the previous range, and softens your water into a really soothing meringue-scented solution, designed both to make you as relaxed as possible, but also hungry as anything. I would definitely recommend having a bag of sweets nearby if the temptation gets just a little bit too much for you! (I can’t tell you how many times I had to resist nibbling on some of the sweets to take these photos!)Although I’m not sure I’ll ever be fully converted to the trend of summertime baths, it was definitely worth experimenting with it to try out these beauties. If you haven’t already, I would seriously recommending trying out just one of this collection, even if just to smell for yourself just how sweet a ‘Sweet Inspirations’ bath bomb can be.Thank you so much for reading. I’ve been wanting to post this review from the moment Zoe announced the products online, and I am so happy with the way it came out. I’m incredibly proud of how much work she’s put into her amazing beauty line, and I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next! (Fingers crossed for a make up line!)
Have a fantastic week!
